Wyre Forest

We started at the main car park (fee) . This was busy, but the path we took was quiet.

Some lovely woodland, old mills on a muddy river. Walked 7.5 miles, cold but dry.

The path follows this stream valley down to the cycle track. There are a series of silted up old dams

Knowles Mill on the Dowles Brook is in the care of the National Trust. The shelter has benches. A good place to eat lunch on a cold day.

Knowles Mill is free to go in. Inside some of the gears and wheels are still in place.

Only the metal work of the wheel remains in the wheel pit.
